Dear Parent Crew, 

This year is already clipping by so quickly. We are already one week away from Fall Break.  Please remember that in preparation for our return to full in person learning next Thursday, October 8th and Friday, October 9th will be Independent Learning from Home Days.  Students will not be attending school in-person and teachers will not be holding google meets on those days.  

Here are few more logistical details as we “pivot” out of hybrid to full in-person and continue to remain ready to “pivot” to a quarantine situation for any number of students.  On Wednesday, October 7th, we will be sending devices home with your child just in case we are unable to return or a group of us is unable to return on October 19th. When we return, we will continue to have students take their device back and forth from home and school even though we are in full in-person learning.  If this is not needed for your family, please let your child’s teacher know.  Also, please be aware that when we have between 20-26 students in a classroom social distancing within a cohort will not be possible to maintain. This will be the biggest change in our practice.  Masks will still be an expectation.  We will be able to maintain 6ft+ distancing between all cohorts even in the cafeteria.  Your child's cohort will be considered their class. We are also being provided plexiglass dividers for our lunch rooms since masks will need to come off as students eat.  

We also have a changing protocol for all visitors to the school. If you are entering the school building next week and moving forward please expect to comply with a health screening before entering the building. Please be aware of the following symptoms laid out by CDPHE: Can I go to school today? If your child or you are manifesting any of these symptoms, we expect that you do not come to school. We are presently in Safer at Home status. Lastly, here are a couple of events to take note. This Tuesday and Thursday we are holding our first PLE Specials’ Expo.  For descriptions of the sessions and how to access please see this flyer: PLE Specials’ Expo.  We encourage you to attend sessions virtually each night and include your children. They will be excited to share with you what they have been working on.  PTO is also working hard to create a unique safe socially distanced Fall Festival on October 30th.  Please save the date and watch for further details.  We have multiple plans in the works to be able to adjust to the changing circumstances and continue to provide our Crew with a fun event.

Hello Pine Lane families!

First off, we are so excited to finally welcome students back into our Libraries. Our students have been excited, too!

We want to clarify a situation that has occurred due to our abrupt end of in-person school last Spring.

Some families recently received lost book fee notices from My School Bucks (MSB). Per District policy, books that have not been returned in 120 days are marked lost, and the replacement cost is posted as a fee in MSB.

The District turned off these notices after Spring break as we did not return to our buildings. The fee notices have been turned back on district-wide.

We ask that you disregard the notice at this time, but please check with your student to see if the book is still at home. We are reviewing the list of fee notices and are double-checking our shelves to see if the book has in fact been returned.
