This has been a chaotic week, to say the least, and I have a lot to share with you.
However, before I get into some specifics, I am asking each of you to please help us help your co-workers.

Our team continues to negotiate with employers across the Local to make sure your rights are being protected throughout this crisis. Currently, we are advocating for policies and hazard pay, especially for those members working on the frontlines in healthcare, food processing, retail, and pharmacy operations. This is a very fluid process, but we will be sharing updates in the coming days.
We are also advocating for changes that increase safety measures and precautions. In the coming days, we will add a new standalone section to our website at
UFCW1776.ORG where we will list all of these changes by employer so that you will be able to access this information very quickly. We will alert members as updates are posted. We are continuing to work across the Local to identify opportunities for employment for our members who are not working due to business closures and to provide needed relief for our frontline members.
