BELLE CHASSE, LA. - Plenary Infrastructure announces upcoming traffic changes to the LA-23 and Engineer’s Rd. intersection beginning Monday, July 10 through Friday, July 14. Motorists traveling northbound on LA-23 will no longer be able to turn left onto Engineer’s Rd. They will pass through the Engineer’s Rd. intersection to the newly constructed Burmaster St. intersection and make a U-turn lane at the Burmaster traffic signal to access Engineer’s Rd. via LA-23 going southbound.
Additional traffic changes will occur at the X St. and LA-23 intersection. The LA-23 crossing at X St. will temporarily close to traffic. Motorists will be able to turn right into and out of East X St. and West X St. traffic at LA-23. This traffic condition is temporary and will remain until completion of the new bridge in Spring 2024.
During this timeframe, there will be intermittent lane closures. All work is weather permitting.
The work is in preparation for the new Belle Chasse Bridge.
