BELLE CHASSE, LA. - Plenary Infrastructure announces the extension of the traffic switch on LA 23 in the southbound direction. The switch will be extended through January 20, 2023. Motorists traveling southbound between Timber Ridge Drive and Engineers Road will be shifted to the right onto the newly constructed Algiers Outfall Canal Bridge and southbound LA-23 roadway.
During this timeframe, there will be intermittent lane closures at night. However, no lane closures will take place during the holidays between December 23, 2022 through December 26, 2022 and December 30, 2022 through January 2, 2023. All work is weather permitting and is in preparation for the new Belle Chasse Bridge.
