Laken Meyer Named January Winner of the

Anchored in the Laker Way Award

Community Education Services Early Childhood Teacher Laken Meyer has been named the January 2024 recipient of the Anchored in the Laker Way Award. This monthly award celebrates Prior Lake-Savage Area Schools Community Education Services staff who are anchored in providing a strong foundation of community service, an innovative and supportive leader, a respectful team member, and committed to lifelong learning and excellence.

Here is what Laken’s colleagues had to share about her:

Laken demonstrates great flexibility, consistency, and passion in her classroom. She is always thinking of ways to improve her lessons and how to best accommodate her students. Laken is a great teammate who supports her coworkers and is always willing to lend a hand. She is a gift to PLSAS and is such a positive role model for other staff and her students.

We need your input! Prior Lake-Savage Area Schools has begun a strategic plan review and is seeking input to help establish a shared vision among community members.

To participate, families, staff, students and community members will have an opportunity to provide feedback during community meetings being held February - April. Input gathered from these meetings will be reviewed by a Strategic Plan Core Team of diverse community members who are working together to form a draft that identifies key priorities and defines the roadmap for learner success in PLSAS. The draft plan will then be reviewed by the School Board in May.
