Scam Letter Alarms Florida Realtors®
Earlier this month, Florida REALTORS® members reported receiving a "final notice" bill from a fictitious entity, the "Florida Board of Realtors®", seeking payment of $225 and stating their real estate licenses were in jeopardy for failure to comply.

The letters looked to be legitimate but after contacting their local association, brokers and agents were informed it was a scam. Florida REALTORS® is investigating and is in contact with authorities. NAR is also looking into the matter and warns members to be vigilant, safe, and spread the word about the attempted scheme.

No other states have reported similar scams, but Realtors® who receive suspicious mailings should immediately call their local association and report it to trademark@realtors.org.
