June is National Homeownership Month
Survey data continues to show that the vast majority of Americans believe that buying a home is a solid financial decision. According to Lawrence Yun, NAR Chief Economist, "Most middle class families build their wealth through homeownership, so we want to see what we can do to boost homeownership."

As we celebrate National Homeownership Month, it's important to recognize the important relationship between homeownership and the American Dream.

Visit Home Ownership Matters for the latest advocacy-related news, interesting stories, and videos to inform your clients. Use #HomeOwnershipMonth and #MyHomeMyVoice to share the benefits of homeownership on social media.
Best Practices for Cybercrime Prevention
Cybercrime has become one of the most profound and immediate threats to businesses around the world. While national news headlines would lead us to believe governmental entities and banks are the prime targets of cybercriminals, that's not necessarily the case.

Over the past two years Real Estate professionals have been victimized - repeatedly and often - by a particularly dangerous and successful cybercrime involving wire fraud.

Cybercrime can be devastating to your business and your clients. Empowering yourself with information and the right tools, you can effectively protect yourself and your clients from cybercrime.

Learn how to protect your clients and your firm from the latest scheme that cybercriminals are using to target real estate transactions.

Portland's Tree Planting Survey
Help the City of Portland develop its tree planting strategy to ensure that all residents have access to trees.

Currently, tree canopy in Portland is not equitably distributed throughout the city: lower income neighborhoods have significantly lower tree canopy than other neighborhoods.

Share your opinions about tree planting in this short survey from the City of Portland.

Portland Parks & Recreation's Urban Forestry is partnering with community members, stakeholders, and PSU to identify the best ways to expand tree canopy access for all residents. This survey will help identify opportunities and barriers to tree planting in the community.

Take the survey here. The survey closes on Wednesday, July 5th.

  • Choose someone familiar with real estate
  • Pay attention to their professionalism

Building a Following on Social Media
Keeping up with social media can be overwhelming. People want to see you - not just your listings - and if you don't believe you have something to offer, what you say can come across disingenuous.

91% of Realtors® report using social media. Here are some tips to make sure your pages get seen.
  1. Be conversational, personal, educational, and inspirational
  2. Be as visual as you can
  3. Genuinely believe you have something to offer
  4. Video, video, video
  5. Build out your Linkedin profile
