Message from PMCN President/CEO
Welcome to 2019! 2018 was a big year for the Peak Military Care Network. We continued to expand the breadth and depth of our partner agency network, with 45 partner agencies that provided more than 100,000 services last year. PMCN also directly assisted more than 1,700 service members, veterans and family members, helping them connect to the wonderful resources and assistance provided by our partners. Our team also participated in more than 90 outreach events in 2018, helping folks learn about the support provided in our community. Thanks to all of our partners, as well as our military and VA partners for the amazing work they do to meet needs and help individuals and families thrive! 2019 is already off to a busy start, and we look forward to another successful year in helping connect people to resources and improve the quality of life for service members, veterans and their families.

Creative Forces: Military Arts Connection
|
Under the umbrella of Creative Forces®, a national initiative focusing on arts and healing in the military sector, the Cultural Office of the Pikes Peak Region is developing a new demonstration program called Military Arts Connection. Launching in late spring of 2019, Military Arts Connection will operate a web-based tool that will enable local military and veteran service providers to access free arts engagement experiences for their patients, clients, and stakeholders. These arts engagement experiences are intended to support the transition from clinic to community, and to facilitate stronger community connections for service members, veterans, and their families. Military OneSource MilTax
|
Military OneSource MilTax, a suite of free tax services provided by the Department of Defense, understands what military life means for taxes. Tailored for military life, MilTax offers secure and free tax preparation and e-filing software, easy access to tax consultants with military expertise, free, in-person tax preparation and assistance through MilTax-designated Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Offices and quick access to other valuable services and resources such as financial counselors, helpful articles and online resources.

American Corporate Partners

American Corporate Partners (ACP) is a nationwide, nonprofit organization that proudly
assists America’s veterans in their transitions from the military to their next careers.
For more than 10 years, ACP has provided transitioning service members with free,
year-long, customized mentorships with experienced volunteer businessmen and women
across the country. More than 13,000 veterans have completed ACP’s program.
