This notice provides advanced notification of Provider Portal Enhancements with Availity Essentials for Connecticut Behavioral Health Partnership (CT BHP) Providers.

Fast Facts:

• Effective March 1, 2022, Availity Essentials became the preferred claims platform for Carelon commercial networks. CT BHP providers who have crossover with other insurance networks, currently registered with Availity, can submit commercial claims and check member eligibility.
• The enhanced Availity Essentials will be introduced on January 10, 2024. This update brings a range of new features, including a dedicated CT BHP payer space, the ability to check member eligibility, review previously submitted authorizations, and access existing Carelon Behavioral Health portals.
• You will have the ability to link your ProviderConnect ID to Availity, for a single sign-on feature to the authorization portal, ProviderConnect.
• Your current ProviderConnect URL will remain unchanged for now and will continue to be accessible. Any future plans to modify the ProviderConnect homepage will be communicated well in advance.
