Subject: Reminder: Provider Portal Enhancements with Availity Essentials Coming Soon. New Training Date Added

Dear Provider,

This notice is a reminder that Availity Essentials will be integrating with ProviderConnect for all Connecticut Behavioral Health Partnership (CT BHP) Providers. These portal enhancements aim to streamline administrative processes for the network and allow a single sign-on feature when accessing multiple payer spaces.

Fast Facts:

  • The enhanced Availity Essentials will be introduced on January 10, 2024. This update brings a range of new features, including a dedicated CT BHP payer space, the ability to check member eligibility, review previously submitted authorizations, and access existing Carelon Behavioral Health portals.
  • You will have the ability to link your ProviderConnect ID to Availity, for a single sign-on feature to the authorization portal, ProviderConnect.
  • Your current ProviderConnect URL will remain unchanged for now and will continue to be accessible. Any plans to modify the ProviderConnect homepage will be communicated well in advance.
