The Progressive National Baptist family is proud to welcome Dr. Timothy Tee Boddie as our new General Secretary.

As the full-time Chief Administrative Officer of the Convention, Dr. Boddie will execute the policies and programs of the PNBC, including planning and supervising Convention procedures while overseeing operations designed to accomplish the mission of PNBC. Dr. Boddie officially began his role on September 8, 2015, replacing Pastor Kip Banks, who served as Interim General Secretary for two years.

Prior to joining PNBC, Dr. Boddie served for 11 years as University Chaplain and Pastor of the Memorial Church at Hampton University in Hampton, VA. As University Chaplain, Rev. Boddie worked in a dual capacity as Campus Minister and as Executive Secretary of the nationally acclaimed Hampton University Ministers' Conference. 

PNBC President Dr. James C. Perkins states: "The Progressive National Baptist Convention is delighted to welcome Dr. Timothy Tee Boddie as our new General Secretary. We believe he is the right person for us at the right time. I am looking forward to working with him to move our great Convention forward."

Dr. Boddie is an honor graduate of Atlanta's Morehouse College, where he majored in English. He holds a master's degree from Stanford University in Stanford, CA, and a doctorate degree from Union Presbyterian Seminary in Richmond, VA. Dr. Boddie says of his new role: "I am honored and privileged to become the General Secretary of the most consequential denominational Convention in the nation. I am excited about the direction and vision of the Convention, as cast by our dynamic president, Dr. James C. Perkins, and I look forward to help realize the vision in my role as General Secretary and to carry out the mission of PNBC."
