| | Celebrating God's Work in PNK | | Souper Bowl Sunday at FPC Manhattan | | |
FPC Manhattan was on the winning team for Souper Bowl Sunday, February 8, 2026! When their generous donations of food and toiletry items were “tallied up” the totals were 420 lbs.! That’s more than the total number of offensive yards of either Super Bowl LX team this year! 390 lbs. of groceries will stock the FPC pantry with many essential items: flour, sugar, pancake syrup/mix, canned vegetables, and much more. About 30 lbs. of toiletries were taken to the Flint Hills Breadbasket, who initiated the event.
Souper Bowl donations from all PNK churches are deeply appreciated and will make a real difference in the lives of so many Kansas families. Feeding those in need is a core expression of our Christian values and demonstrates faith in action as reflected in Matthew 25:35-40.
| | Celebrating 100 Years of Topeka Westminster | | |
Topeka Westminster at 1275 SW Boswell Avenue was designed by architect Charles Cuthbert while serving as the Kansas State Architect. As designer of other notable structures in the area such as Carnegie Library at Washburn University, Budig Hall (formerly Hock Auditorium) and Snow Hall at the University of Kansas, Cuthbert designed Westminster to complement the style of many structures on the Washburn campus.
Westminster’s association with famous Kansans is a point of interest. Dr. Karl Menniger was a Westminster member for nearly 25 years. Two of his children were baptized at the church. The Rev. Charles Sheldon, author of “In His Steps” and the popular “WWJD” (What Would Jesus Do) has preached here.

PNKS & PSK Youth Trip - Middle School & High School
Ghost Ranch Youth Week
| |
Come spend an unforgettable week at Ghost Ranch—a place where faith, friendship, and adventure come to life. Together we’ll worship, serve, play and experience God’s presence in the beauty of the New Mexico high desert.
Rev. Claudia Aguilar Rubalcava will guide us in exploring the rich diversity of humanity and life, discovering new ways to connect with our faith and each other and providing experiences we can take back into our daily lives. All worship and reflection opportunities will be interfaith and provide opportunity for youth participation and engagement. We will practice the principles we learn in worship both at the Ranch and with local community partners during meaningful service projects.
Ghost Ranch’s Summer Staff will lead fun, joyous activities to foster team-building and playful spirits as we dive into both creative pursuits and outdoor adventures

Join Us at the Next Presbytery Meeting to Hear from Authors of Being Presbyterian in a Dysvangelical America | |
Dysvangelical names a theology that is distorted, dysfunctional, and dystopian, twisting the good news of God's grace into a message of fear, partisanship, and exclusion.
Ted V. Foote Jr. and P. Alex Thornburg speak directly to Presbyterians (and others!) who are disillusioned and confused by how Christianity is being misused in American culture.
| | | | What is Stephen Ministry? | | |
Bear one another’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ (Galatians 6:2, NRSV).
Stephen Ministry offers a proven and effective way to organize, equip, and supervise a team of congregation members—called Stephen Ministers—to provide high-quality, one-to-one, Christ-centered care to people in the congregation and the community experiencing life difficulties.
Who’s Involved in Stephen Ministry?
Stephen Leaders are church staff, lay leaders, and pastors trained to provide ongoing leadership for their congregation’s Stephen Ministry.

Synod of Mid-America Assembly Installs
Rev. Bob Frasier as 2026 Moderator
| | It was a great day as the Synod of Mid-America gathered for our Assembly. PNK’s own Rev. Robert Frasier was installed as Moderator for 2026 and General Assembly Co-Moderator Rev. CeCe Armstrong shared a message of challenge and hope during worship and spent the day with us in conversation and fellowship. Congratulations, Bob and Thank you, CeCe. And thank you, SoMA for a day full of blessings. | | Rev. Ben Houchen Installed at FPC Hays | | |
The Installation Celebration for Rev. Benjamin “Ben” Houchen was a beautiful service that mixed in all of the traits of the First Presbyterian Church of Hays, KS. Traits of family, love, faith, acceptance, kindness, and neighborhood, to name a few.
FPC Hays is embarking on a new and exciting adventure with St. Michael’s Episcopal Church and St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, both of Hays.
Although each church will keep and nurture their own faith based services, the collaborative projects our congregations will do together will ensure our strength in our respective churches and in our community.
We appreciate the guests that joined the celebration. Many locals and many who traveled from out of town. It was a service that filled our hearts!
All are welcome! Sundays at 9:00 AM for weekly service, with opportunities throughout the week to get involved and serve our community.
