2022 | Week 23

52 Hikes | 52 Homes

“Be the change you want to see in the world."

This is WEEK at a GLANCE - a glance at 52 weeks of my PNW adventures!

Powered by passion and inspired by the Northwest, join me as I journey through life as an entrepreneur on a mission to make a difference in the lives of others, and in our community… one step at a time, one week at a time.

If you are looking for the perfect place to hang your hammock - I know just the spot!

Heather Lake, located off the Mountain Loop Highway, is a cute little lake that was recently covered in a blanket of snow. And although there is still a lot of snow around the lake, and leading up to it, I was pleasantly surprised to see the ombre reflection through the pines. Across the lake, the mountain side was covered in waterfalls - a sight worth hiking for. The weather was ideal, 75 degrees and sunny, and I was excited to revisit this trail as it had been exactly one year [52 weeks] since I had been here. The last time I visited Heather Lake, I was volunteering for Washington Trails Association and spent several hours doing trail maintenance - which is rewarding on a completely different level. Either way, this trail is lovely, and I highly recommend it if you are looking for a fun adventure! Just make sure to drive your 4x4 - the road is a little rough!!

Have you been wanting to sell your home? NOW is the time.

Here are the TOP 5 reasons why you should sell your home this summer...

  1. BUYERS are back - the burnout is over and buyers are back in action ready to buy.
  2. Interest rates are rising - this is motivation for buyers to act quickly.
  3. School - Kids are almost out of school which means folks are looking to move!
  4. Curb Appeal - Flowers are in full bloom and yards are green! Great for photos!!
  5. Supply & Demand - the PNW market is still lacking listings - now is the time to sell!

"The past couple years have literally been life-changing. So, setting goals that included my own physical, mental and emotional/spiritual health was necessary to continue on a journey of continually bettering myself. This year, I made a goal to hire a personal trainer to kick my butt into shape. This has not only allowed me to be more consistent at the gym, but has also opened up my own knowledge to what works for my body the best and learning to love my body in a whole new way. For my mental health, I made it a goal to create space for myself to rest, truly rest. I am an extrovert at heart which means that being surrounded by people all the time, always, is how I recharge. However, it does make it hard to focus on just me; something that I have a hard time doing and something that I am learning to do better. So, giving myself at least an hour every day to relax, dream, pray, sleep, and just be in the moment has been a healthy way to help me focus on just me for a little bit. Because the past few years have been so heavy, it has been essential for me to really dig into my emotional health and ensure that I maintain a solid and positive mindset about who I believe am. This includes my values, my standards, my character, my relationship with God, my relationship with my family, friends, and colleagues and even my relationship with strangers I come into contact with every day. Staying consistent with these goals has allowed me to show up more confidently at work, and as a result I am watching my career take off in ways I never imagined. It has also allowed me to be more patient and reflective during tough times and more at peace overall."

Thank you SO MUCH for sharing your goals Becca!! I am excited to see you crushing it and love that you have created space for yourself along the way!

Hi! I'm Rachel Lloyd, a licensed local Real Estate Agent and outdoor enthusiast who loves helping people establish deep roots in the Pacific Northwest.

I’m also the founder of PNW52 LLC – a company dedicated to helping others summit their goals - one step at a time, one week at a time.

Would you like to help me make a bigger impact?

When the “40 Under 40” program was started 23 years ago, the Puget Sound Business Journal set out to identify people under the age of 40 who are dynamic leaders in the business community. They are looking for leaders who are making an impact in business, philanthropy, and in their communities so that they can share their stories and celebrate their successes.
