Hiking to Mailbox Peak is an exhilarating adventure that offers a perfect blend of nature's beauty and physical challenge. Nestled in the Cascade Mountains, the trail to Mailbox Peak takes you on a journey through dense forests, over bridges, up several switchbacks, and through a boulder field! As you ascend the rugged terrain, your views open up and that's when you know the summit is near. The final stretch is incredibly steep, but it is worth it! On a clear day, the stunning panoramic mountain ranges stretch as far as the eye can see. And the iconic mailbox, perched atop the peak, serves as a testament to the perseverance and camaraderie of fellow hikers. Oftentimes, hikers will take/leave items - so I decided to contribute a few business cards and mints. I figure, if it's 'mint' to be, they will work with me! I spent about a half hour a the top connecting with others before hiking back down. This time, I decided to hike the new trail both ways, making for a very long trek! If you are looking for a challenging adventure, go check the mail!

This adorable eatery is located in Kirkland and proudly works with seasonal ingredients sourced from local organic farms that are passionate about sustainability. Their food is made from scratch daily and the service is incredible.
