From the rugged peaks to the crystal clear water, Lake Serene is a magical place to explore! This stunning hike is located off Highway 2, near Goldbar, and is a place I like to visit every year. The path is well-groomed and starts out nice and easy as you make your way through the mossy forest. After crossing a few streams and bridges, you will arrive at a fork in the trail providing you with 2 options - Lake Serene or Bridal Veil Falls. I decided to go for the lake and continued up the countless switchbacks until I reached the summit. When you arrive at the lake, you are greeted with the most beautiful teal water making every step worth it!! There is even a huge rock that is called the "lunch rock" that is a perfect spot to enjoy the views! If you are looking for an incredible summer hike, check out Lake Serene! It's amazing!

And of course, they have vegan options! While dining here this week, I enjoyed their fresh summer rolls which are filled with lettuce, cucumber, bean sprouts, and fried tofu. The rolls are served with a yummy peanut sauce which is great for dipping and if you are craving something sweet, save room for dessert!!
