Granite Mountain is located in the Alpine Lakes Wilderness Area and is where I decided to hike this week! I knew from previous experience that this trail has a lot of sun exposure so I began my hike earlier than normal as it was supposed to be a scorcher. By the time I hiked up the several switchbacks, through the meadow, and up the final rock scramble... I made it to the fire lookout tower and it was 95 degrees out! Such a beautiful day so soak up the sunshine and enjoy the Northwest views!

Duke's Seafood is a full-service restaurant and bar with 7 locations around Puget Sound offering flavorful, tasty dishes! While they are known for their 100% sustainable seafood - fresh Dungeness crab, prawns, chowder, and their signature wild salmon recipes... they also offer amazing vegan options! This week, I had lunch at Duke's Seafood in Bellevue and enjoyed the Vegan Veggie Stew which has sautéed vegetables, caramelized peppers & onions, baby red potatoes, garlic, and herbs, in a roasted tomato broth. The stew was incredible and is served with a warm basket of homemade sourdough bread!
