The Alpine Lake Wilderness Area is truly a magical place. Did you know that there are over 700 lakes in this forest? This week, I hiked to Talapus and Olallie Lakes with one of my friends who was visiting from out of town! She wanted to go on an adventure and I thought this would be the perfect place! The weather was outstanding and we had so much fun catching up while taking in all of the stunning views! Earlier in the week, I actually flew over these lakes with my Dad and noticed that Talapus Lake is shaped like a heart! It was really neat seeing it from a different perspective!

Nestled beside the relaxing waterscape of Mercer Slough, the Dilettante Mocha Café is the perfect place to get some work done while enjoying lunch with a view! While visiting the café, I ordered their delicious Vegan Veggie Sandwich... which was made with a rosemary garlic cauliflower spread, zucchini, carrot, bell pepper, cabbage, and red onions! It was so good!!
