2022 | Week 32

52 Hikes | 52 Homes

“You are stronger than you think.”

This is WEEK at a GLANCE - a glance at 52 weeks of my PNW adventures!

Powered by passion and inspired by the Northwest, join me as I journey through life as an entrepreneur on a mission to make a difference in the lives of others, and in our community… one step at a time, one week at a time.

This week, I decided to hike several miles through the Alpine Lakes Wilderness to go check out Pratt Lake - a much overdue rendezvous. The last time I was here was in autumn and the fall foliage was in full bloom. This time visiting, I noticed that the trail was a lot thicker with vegetation, making the path incredibly narrow at times. The weather was moody [typical PNW] and there was a consistent cloud cover all day, which is essentially like wearing a blanket when you hike. It was muggy and I was hoping that the clouds would lift, but when I got to the ridge, the view was like nothing I had ever experienced. The entire valley was socked in and It looked like there was a lake... made of clouds. 5 minutes later, the clouds began to move, and as I got closer to the lake.. the views just got more & more impressive. Would you hike here?

"I wanted to do the Enchantments and/or Half Dome last year but that plan didn't materialize, so I went and did those this year! Probably for the best since I was likely not as well prepared last year for 12-17hrs on the trails and I learned a lot in the past 2 years about my own limits and pushing them the right amount and knowing the breaking point/boundaries.

This year every month I'm posting about seemingly random topics but all related to change I've embraced, learning, & growth.

I'm going to visit the whole family in like 3 weeks, to spend some quality time there with the whole fam and catch up with my school friends and other connections

back where I spent my childhood. It'll be interesting to catch up with everyone since the pandemic hit and changed so much everywhere.

After I'm back, go hike on some trails I haven't been on yet (either never or some just not this year yet), and do a 5 day fast (this might sound crazy, but if you're interested I'll tell you more about this) and continue to build and invest in meaningful connections and relationships in real life."

Thank you SO MUCH for sharing your goals and for working so hard to summit them! It is inspiring to see all that you have accomplished and I have enjoyed following along on your journey! Keep it up Anshu!!
