Although I had a wonderful time on the East Coast, there is nothing like coming home to the Pacific Northwest. The views of the Cascades and of Mount Rainier from the jet were incredible and I couldn't wait to get outside this week and go for a hike! It was a beautiful, clear day and I had finally caught up on work so I decided to go on an adventure to Snow Lake. I have explored here countless times and it never gets old! It is definitely one of my favorites and is one of the most visited lakes in the Alpine Lake Wilderness Area. The trail is lined with purple flowers and in the distance, you can see the surrounding peaks. When you crest the final ridge, there is a huge rock that makes for an outstanding place to rest and have snacks before descending down to the lake. As you get closer to the shore, the color of the water becomes more vibrant with every step and there are cute wooden boardwalks that lead the way. While at the lake, I had a great time taking photos and videos of the stunning views, and highly recommend checking out Snow Lake for your next adventure! It's amazing! |
