2023 | Week 4

52 Hikes | 52 Homes

“Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass. It's about learning how to dance in the rain.”

This is WEEK at a GLANCE - 52 weeks of my PNW adventures!

Join me as I journey through life on a mission to make a difference, one step at a time, one week at a time. How was your week? Here's a glance at mine...

Hikes.

If you live in the Pacific Northwest, you can't let the rain stop you from having fun. So that's just what we did. Despite the rain, My mom and I put on our hiking boots and danced all the way to Teneriffe Falls - a massive waterfall located in the Cascade Mountains. It is absolutely breathtaking! And the journey to get there is just as beautiful. Other than the vibrant green moss on the trees, the forest was moody, dark, and damp. The contrast in color was stunning and was even more amazing in person! We passed by a lot of friendly hikers and when we got to the falls, we were so excited! We took photos, enjoyed some snacks, and were mesmerized by the sound of the rushing water. I am so grateful to live in this beautiful state and am thankful to have my mom by my side!

Homes.

I have great news! Loan applications were up 25% this week, which means a lot more buyers are entering the market. For the first time in 10 months, data is trending positively and my CEO, Robert Reffkin spoke of it on CNBC this week. Click here to watch the full interview. If you have been thinking about buying or selling a home, now is the time.

My buyers have been actively looking, and this week, I was able to schedule several tours. I showed one of my new clients 7 townhomes in North Seattle! It was a great day and we found a lot of homes she liked, but are going to keep looking for THE ONE!

In addition, one of my amazing lenders introduced me to a new buyer, and am looking forward to helping her and her fiancé find their perfect home to start their life together.

And last but not least, I attended a networking event in hopes to meet new people, share my mission, and to learn more about others who work, live, and play in our community.

But that's not all! Are you looking to buy or sell a home outside of Washington State?

52 Flavors.

There is a reason why folks come to Alexa’s Cafe as often as they can. This adorable, locally owned cafe offers a wide range of delicious items for both breakfast and lunch - with half and whole portions to give you just what you need. In addition, they offer their amazing breakfast dishes for brunch/lunch to give those late risers an opportunity to have the goods. Alexa's Cafe is located on Main Street in the quaint neighborhood of downtown Bothell. They remodeled the 1927 brick building to be an eclectic and hip spot to enjoy with friends and family. You won’t leave hungry! Shown here is my favorite - their delicious Vegan Egg Sandwich - made with plant-based sausage, JUST eggs, grilled onions, and red peppers on Macrina sourdough bread.
