MESSAGE FROM THE CHAIR

The holiday season rapidly approaches and I hope everyone has the opportunity to take a respite from the daily grind and take a moment to reflect on the outstanding work you do every day for your utility, agency or company.  I equate the fall with an opportunity to enjoy those things we hold dear and enjoy.  Opportunity to spend time with family and friends, the opportunity to go fishing or the opportunity to play golf on a deserted golf course.  The members of our Section are an amazing group of people that give countless hours of their time for which I am very grateful.  In my time on the Board I have witnessed firsthand the commitment of our membership to provide needed training, welcome young professionals into the industry and the natural development of diversity and inclusion.  Where other areas of our country struggle we have thrived and it is you, the membership that makes this possible.  The laudable work that takes place in our committees and subsections is amazing.  The quality of training and the ease of access to training has never been better and continues to improve and we have you to thank for that.

Please be sure to take a little time in the coming months to take a well-deserved break remind yourself that what you do everyday matters and impacts countless others.  As the year progresses
the leadership of the Section is committed to provide opportunity, creative solutions and we hope to have a little fun along the way.  We are fortunate to have so many intelligent people working together to achieve a common goal.   Albert Einstein said "Creativity Is Intelligence Having Fun."  On behalf of the PNWS Board I thank you for everything you do every day and may the holidays find you happy and healthy

Best wishes to all, have fun and don't forget to smile.

PNWS Chair
