SECTION CONFERENCE IN VANCOUVER - Online Registration Closes April 26

Online conference registration for the 2019 Section Conference in Vancouver, WA, May 1-3, closes on Friday, April 26. Onsite registration will open at the Vancouver Hilton and Convention Center on Tuesday, April 30 from 3-6pm.

We are sold out of vendor booths but we have several other sponsorship opportunities including golf hole sponsors, technical track sponsors and more!  Check out our conference website for all the additional opportunities.

This year we will be offering 1.7 CEUs in drinking and wastewater (CEUs vary by state). The technical program is now on our website! You will also find a detailed description of the Wednesday pre-conference sessions.

Our annual conference golf tournament will take place at Camas Meadows.  The golf course is approximately 14 miles from downtown Vancouver.

The conference will kick off on Wednesday evening May 1 at Esther Short Park with our Competition Night.  Join your friends for this great event and cheer our teams on to ACE19 in Denver. Stay energized with local food and beverages from food trucks and breweries around Vancouver which is known as the Hippest City in America by MoveHub.

Our Thursday morning Opening General Session will feature our  keynote speaker Steve Eberlein from Tipping Point Resilience. Steve will share his experiences living in Sri Lanka during the 9.1 subduction zone quake that triggered a massive tsunami that took more than 230,000 lives in more than a dozen countries. He will relate those experiences to our risk of a Cascadia Subduction Zone earthquake along the west coast. You won't want to miss this!

We are building our conference smart phone app just as fast as we can!  This free app provides you with the ability to create your own schedule for technical sessions, meetings with colleagues and vendor booth visits. Look for PNWS-AWWA at your app store or go to our website for more information!

Check out our conference website for all the latest information and to register!
BECOME A TRAINER FOR THE SECTION - One Day Class at the Conference

We are looking for trainers for Math for
Operators
and Reading Process & Instrument Dia
grams.  These are essential skills for operators and skills that need continual practice and refreshing. Ideally we would have a trainer in each subsection ready to train operators in your local region. If you are comfortable speaking in front of a group and have great experiences to share with your peers this may be a match made in heaven.

If interested sign up for the Train The Trainers Wednesday pre-con at the conference. It's free and you can earn CEUs for taking the class.  Check out our website for more information and/or contact Jeff Lundt with questions.

WATER FOR PEOPLE SILENT AUCTION - Items Needed
golf sculpure
It's that time of year again! Time to start thinking about what you'd like to donate to this year's Water For People silent auction at annual conference. This year's conference in Vancouver, WA is shaping up to be an amazing event and we hope to raise significant funds to help Water For People continue to do the amazing work they do. As you know, the sky's the limit on the items you donate - in past years handmade items and alcohol have made the most money. Sporting event tickets, unique trips, and specialty themed baskets also do very well.

If you could please log your donation at this link, it would be very helpful as this allows us to have a bid sheet and description ready for the conference.

Items can be brought with you to the conference, or sent ahead of time to:
