Hornbacher's donates over $80,000 to Great Plains Food Bank
Hornbacher’s customers made a tremendous commitment to the fight to end hunger at the checkout lanes with a $80,898 donation to the Great Plains Food Bank through their annual Feed Hope campaign. This is the single-largest donation since the campaign started in 2011.

During the campaign, Hornbacher’s customers were asked to make donations at the checkout lanes during December 2019 at locations in Fargo, Moorhead and West Fargo. The donation is enough to provide more than 242,000 meals to help fight hunger across North Dakota and western Minnesota.

In the nine-year history of Feed Hope, the campaign has raised a total of $436,709.10 to benefit the Great Plains Food Bank, which is enough to provide more than 1.3 million meals for those in need. The highest donation amount previously was $65,464 in 2017.

Client Spotlight: Mckenzie and Zachary
Mckenzie is quick to admit she doesn't try to be a single mom to her special needs son, Zachary, all by herself. She leans on those close to her, including the Emergency Food Pantry, a partner agency of the Great Plains Food Bank, for help.

Zachary is severely autistic with medical conditions that can make life for the small family difficult.
