Executive Certificate
During the CSI Law Enforcement Program Advisory Board Meeting on November 9th, POST Council Chair Sheriff Shaun Gough presented Jerome County Sheriff George Oppedyk with the prestigious POST Executive Certificate. Congratulations Sheriff Oppedyk on achieving POST's highest certification!
Firearms Master Instructor Recognition
Allen Hall had been a POST Master Firearms Instructor from January 30, 2012 until July 1, 2021. He was an instrumental member of the Master cadre. Allen was the lead developer of the current Urban Rifle and Low Light Firearms courses taught by POST Instructors. Even though he is no longer part of the Master cadre, Allen continues to serve POST as the POST Basic Patrol Academy Firearms Range Master and Lead Mentor. In this role, he mentors Academy Firearms instructors and is developing new Range Masters and Mentors.
Clint Goss had been a POST Master Firearms Instructor from April 29, 2004 until June 21, 2021. Clint helped develop and revise several firearms instructor courses for POST. He was a continual presence at the POST Basic Patrol Academy firearms courses. He enthusiastically assisted POST Academy staff and Regional Training Coordinators providing instruction for firearms instructors around the state. Until the pandemic impacted law enforcement training around the country, he had been teaching as a NRA Law Enforcement Firearms Instructor representing Idaho Firearms Instructors in other states.
Employee Spotlight
Carrie Lima has been with POST since 2006, in Administrative Support and then moving to the Training Bureau in 2008. Her duties include processing applications for Correction and Felony Probation & Parole academies, creating programs for graduations and assisting with various projects for the Training Bureau. Carrie designs forms and certificates when needed and loves projects that involve Excel spreadsheets! She also manages the POST Fleet, which involves scheduling vehicle use and maintenance. Carrie represents POST with the highest level of professionalism and we are lucky to have her on our team!
Tactical Medicine
Pictured is Patrol Session #202 holding their IFAKs received after completing the TacMed course during their basic academy.

Provided by Tactical Medical Solutions and paid for by the non-profit CopsDirect.org, each student completing the course receives a fully equipped blow-out bag to take with them for duty use upon graduation and return to their home agency .
