MESSAGE FROM THE CHAIR

Annette Aysen

Greetings all!

January is just about over, and we have a lot to look forward to in 2023. Regional match dates are coming in. Membership is in full swing, with renewals AND new members alike. Looking forward to the launch of our new website this year as well.

Let me introduce new friend and Florida member Robert Hurd. I joined many others as part of the Bob Hurd fan club. We honored Bob as the Grandest Grand Senior -- at the age of 84 -- competing in the 2022 IRC! And for that we reimbursed Bob's entry fee, which was also funded by shooters who had donated back their 2022 Regional prize $.

2022 International Postal Match "is in the books" as they would say. Competitor numbers were on the heels of 500. Thanks to everyone who participated, and congratulations to the winners of the Divisions and Special Recognition Categories. Awesome! Stages were quite competitive. I thank the IPM team for such a great job. Without their unselfish time put forward, events like the Postal match would not exist. Excited that I have had inquiries from members wanting to be part of the match prep for 2023.

See you on the range!

Annette

MESSAGE FROM THE POSTAL MATCH DIRECTOR

Dear ICORE Members,

Thank you to all shooters who took part in the 2022 International Postal Match. We are pleased to confirm we received 498 sets of scores representing members and non-members ... a big success! It is great to know we truly are an international organization, with results submitted from clubs in Australia, Canada, Italy, and of course many states in the USA.

The largest Division was Limited, followed by Open, Classic, Limited 6, and Rimfire. Congratulations to all who won a Division, a Class, or a Special Recognition Category. Well done!

My thanks to all of the match directors for organizing an IPM match at your club and submitting scores. The IPM would not happen without you. Thanks also to Nick Bolton, Mike Williams, and Kurt Ulrich on the ICORE Board for the help in getting started, and to Melanie Chan for work behind the scenes in organizing the results and then reorganizing them when key corrections were submitted.

Having more opportunities to shoot is always a good thing -- so thanks for participating in this fun, annual match, and good luck to next year's match director.

All the best,

Sharon Gregson
