Wildcat Family,
As the calendar shifts to December and we officially enter the season of Advent this weekend, we head into a busy season but yet one of waiting and patience. Patience for presents under the tree, Christmas treats and family together. Different degrees of patience are needed with each one of those events. For me, patiently waiting for delicious holiday treats from Ms. Dierks is the MOST difficult. Thankfully she has already delivered treats the past two weeks to satisy my sweet tooth! (THANK YOU!)
No matter what we are waiting on specifically, we are all awaiting the celebration of our Saviors birth. In waiting, there is a tendency to get impatient and frustrated as our minds jump to reasons why things do not happen how and when we want. While we await the birth of Jesus, we do not have to wait for the love and grace He gives to us everyday. Thankfully, our Heavenly Father's patience does not wear out as we constantly give in to our sinful nature. The gift of our Savior 2,000+ years ago means we are not lost in our sin but we are redeemed by his life death and resurrection. His birth changes our path which would lead us to certain and permanent seperation from God. While we wait for His birth, we do not have to wait for His mercies, they are new to us everyday!
