POV For Filmmakers Site is Now Live!
We are happy to announce the re-launch of the For Filmmakers section of the POV website. Besides featuring essential filmmaking posts from our blog, a highlight of the new site is our "Resources for Filmmakers" section which provides comprehensive lists of film festivals, funding opportunities and more. From grant opportunities to engagement strategists, we parsed out exactly what you will need to get your documentary made and seen. We will be adding to these lists throughout the year in order to build a "one-stop shop" for independent filmmaking resources.
Have a suggestion for the site? Email filmmakers[at]pov.org and let us know!

Brooklyn Teachers Braintrust at POV
Thanks to a generous grant from the office of Councilmember Stephen Levin, we hosted eight Brooklyn teachers and administrators at our POV offices last Wednesday. They advised us on to how best to integrate POV films and resources into schools and curricula. Representing schools and organizations included: Sunset Park High School, Cobble Hill School for American Studies, New Utrecht High School, Brooklyn Technical School, East Brooklyn Community High School, New Frontiers and The LAMP NYC. We're looking forward to translating the participants' ideas into a comprehensive engagement strategy for our Brooklyn borough home.
