Places of Worship Advisory Board (POWAB)

The Places of Worship Advisory Board (POWAB) consists of members of the regional faith community, partnering organizations, and departments of health in the Metropolitan Washington Region. POWAB exists to provide resources, advice, and supports efforts that result in improvements in whole person health for individuals, families, and communities. Our work focuses on the influence of faith institutions and faith-based organizations on the life and health of people who participate in faith-based services. POWAB hosts monthly meetings that are open to the public.
