February 2019
Letter from the President
Dear PPAMidwest Members,

As this year’s PPAMidwest president I just wanted to welcome everyone to 2019 and wish you all a great year!

Last year you saw the Promotional Products Association International start to pivot within their strategic plan as they began to place a greater emphasis on the relational instead of the transactional. As a regional association, we too are looking to put more emphasis on the ways in which we can bring value to our members through the power of relationships.

Beyond the transactional benefits of being a member of PPAMidwest – from savings on FedEx shipping to discounts on Pantone products or software solutions from industry providers to specials on credit card processing to free setups or other specials from our supplier partners – for many of you it’s the relationships you’ve built with your fellow PPAMidwest members that stand out as key factors in your continued success in this industry. Your board is working hard to bring you more educational opportunities, tradeshows, lunch and learns and other social events that tap into the power of those relationships and whether you are a supplier or a distributor, we hope you continue to find value in these events as a member of PPAMidwest.

As we kick off this new year I’d like to give a personal thank you to our immediate past president, Meredith Wallace, for her dedication and efforts last year as well as her ongoing service to PPAMidwest. We had a great year last year and I look forward to having another great year in 2019 as I attempt to fill her talented shoes.

I’d like to give a personal shout-out to our newest board members, The Magnet Group’s Joe Huber, Sweda’s Craig Wallace, Brand Energy Marketing’s Mandi Rudd and Gill Studios’ Elizabeth Morrison. We’re luck to have you with us this year! Cheers also to our returning board members - American Solutions for Business’ Aaron Kist, Creative Services’ Edmond Carson, KC Logoworks’ Kerri Nobrega and Cutter and Buck’s Stephanie Thompson!

Last, but certainly not least, a giant round of applause for the glue that keeps this board together and always moving forward – our rockstar Executive Director, Tiffany Kanak!

Please stay tuned to our website and social channels for the latest news and event announcements! Our “virtual doors” are always open so if you have ideas to help the association provide more value to its membership or just an idea for a fun educational or social event – be sure to reach out to one of us.

Let’s make it a great year!

David Shultz
