Preparing for Peak Demand 2021: Learning About Pipelines and Propane Supply
Current market conditions indicate the upcoming harvest and winter could be one of the most complicated in recent memory with below-average days of supply and above-average prices in many parts of the country. Is your company prepared to navigate pipeline demand? What is your company doing to prepare?

On August 19 at 2 p.m. Eastern, NPGA’s Propane Supply and Logistics Committee is hosting “Preparing for Peak Demand 2021: Learning About Pipelines and Propane Supply.” During the session, you’ll get a market fundamentals update, including a projection of what to expect during the next six months. The session will conclude with a panel discussion on how to work with pipeline and wholesale operations, including how to best communicate to respond to your customers’ needs in the upcoming months.

  • Russell “Rusty” Braziel is CEO of RBN Energy LLC and one of the most respected authorities in the field of energy information and markets. He spent 20 years with Texaco (now Chevron), serving as Vice President of Natural Gas Marketing and Trading and Manager of NGL Supply. Subsequently he was Vice President of Business Development for The Williams Companies, one of the largest U.S. natural gas pipeline companies.
  • Tug Hanley is senior vice president, pipelines and terminals, for Enterprise Products Partners L.P., a position he’s held since September 2019. Tug is responsible for Enterprise’s Interstate Pipeline and Terminal activities, which include several major liquids pipelines, including Enterprise TE Products, MAPL, Dixie, and Seaway, among others. He has had positions of increasing responsibility since he joined Enterprise in 2006, having previously served as Vice President, Pipelines and Terminals, as Vice President, NGL Marketing and Supply, and as Vice President, Distribution Services.
  • Stephen Kossuth is vice president of global LPG supply for UGI Corporation and chair of NPGA’s Propane Supply and Logistics Committee. He is responsible for developing and executing global LPG supply chain strategies, including evaluating investments, cultivating growth opportunities, overseeing contract negotiations, developing global hedging strategies, executing risk management and fixed pricing activities and managing cross-function and cross-regional LPG supply chain capabilities for the distribution of approximately 2.3 billion gallons annually. Steve will serve as moderator for the webinar.
  • Travis Ochs is vice president of supply for ThompsonGas, a position he’s held since May 2021. From 2008-2021, he served as director of supply and wholesale for Ferrell North America, where he provided supply, logistics and risk management services to third-party resellers and managed the procurement and distribution of propane for Ferrellgas locations in the United States.
  • John Powell is senior vice president and head of Crestwood’s Marketing, Supply & Logistics (MSL) Group, leading the company’s NGL operating segment based in Kansas City, Missouri. He has been with Crestwood and its predecessor, Inergy LP since 2002. John began his energy career with Koch Industries where he served as Trading Risk Supervisor, and he later worked as an NGL Trader for both PG&E Energy and Louis Dreyfus Energy Services.
