Wichita State is now offering professional development courses called badges, which are online, self-paced courses for working, non-degree seeking professionals. Badges are academic short courses of 1 credit hour or less that provide professionals an affordable, convenient way to build valuable career skills--all while earning contact hours for relicensure, college credit and digital recognition for their accomplishments. Badges of interest to public service professionals include Effective Employee Recruitment, Managing Across Cultures, Researching Grants that Apply to You and Writing for Social Media.
