Grant Writing Workshop

Last week's Grant Writing 101 workshop taught local government and nonprofit personnel the basics in finding the right grant, evaluating the requirements and writing a winning proposal. PPMC Research and Program Evaluation Manager Lisa Dodson utilized her knowledge from successful  federal, state and foundation grant proposals to provide a truly informative and valuable training.

LGM Seminar: Making the Most of Budgets

This month's LGM Seminar featured creative solutions for budget season. WSU Career Development Center presented the benefits of hiring interns, which include cost savings, improved hiring pools and talent retention for the region. City of Derby Manager Kathy Sexton then shared several approaches to staffing and HR, like part-time public safety workers and flex time for employees. We love to facilitate discussions on key topics between peer communities!
