Saturday kicked off Win the Day, the Shocker Neighborhood Coalition's summer fitness series for residents and friends of Shocker neighborhoods. Fitness instructor Denise Colborn performed a live Zumba class, and Jason's Deli provided healthy refreshments. We're so excited to get started with bi-weekly classes for Shocker neighbors! Thank you to Kansas Health Foundation for providing funding for these summer activities.

In observation of the one-year anniversary of Dr. George Platt's passing, we are reminded of the impact left by this remarkable mentor, colleague, friend and fellow Shocker. Dr. Platt touched many lives in his nearly 50 years at WSU, and his fingerprints can be seen in some of the most iconic elements of the University. We remember his wise words and academic achievements, but most of all we remain inspired by his dedication to his community.
