Project Wichita public engagement begins

The PPMC is excited to begin gathering community input for Project Wichita, a community visioning process for the Wichita region's next 10 years. The PPMC developed a unique engagement plan that includes both traditional and non-traditional approaches to public listening. We would love for your organization to be involved, so please visit  projectwichita.org if you are interested. Look  for us around the city and region this  spring as  we  "get off the beaten path" to gather  community  input  in unconventional places!

Customer service training in Augusta

Professional development manager Paula Downs visited the City of Augusta's historic Frisco Train Depot last week to conduct customer service training for City employees. Participants from across the organization engaged in instruction and activities designed to enhance key customer service skills. Augusta is a great community, and attendees were willing to learn, not only from the instructor, but also from each other. The PPMC enjoyed the opportunity to work with the City of  Augusta and looks forward to  partnering with them in the future!
Author Mary B. Lucas to speak at county clerks' conference

Mary B. Lucas is an author and speaker who describes herself as an accidental author but a very intentional communicator. Mary's highly successful book, Lunchmeat & Life Lessons, is a motivational memoir and tribute to her father on how to bring out the best in yourself and others.  Mary Lucas will be the keynote speaker at this year's Sanborn Institute & Academy , the educational conference for Kansas county clerks. However, this talk is open to the public.
