Public Service celebrated May 5-11

  
    Celebrated the first week of May since 1985 (beginning on the first Sunday of the month),  Public Service Recognition Week (PSRW) is a national week-long celebration to honor those who serve our nation as federal, state, county and local government employees.  The Public Policy & Management Center - with help from the WSU Hugo Wall School of Public Affairs, the American Society for Public Administration's Kansas chapter, Dillons, Chartwells and Krispy Kreme - celebrated with activities throughout the week of May 5-11 to thank our partners in public service.

City of Moundridge holds open house for strategic planning
    The City of Moundridge held an open house for its strategic planning process on May 2. City leaders began updating the strategic plan last fall with input from a steering committee comprised of a dozen community members. A series of goals, objectives and strategies has been developed, with a focus on continuing the city's development success and providing a high quality of life for residents. Throughout the process, more than 170 community members contributed feedback either in-person or online to help build the plan.
PPMC welcomes new staff  
    The PPMC has recently welcomed two new staff members - Rochelle Strack (pictured on the right) and Jessica Seibel (pictured on the left). Strack is a Program Manager and Seibel is the Communications Coordinator. Strack's focus is the development of a Caregiver Support Association that will provide resources and assistance for foster parents, non-related kinship and kinship families. Seibel provides communications and marketing support for a variety of PPMC projects.
