Preparation for Upcoming Unit 612 Training Webinar

This week, final preparations were made for the upcoming training webinar for PPOA members in Unit 612. The Zoom video conference will take place on Wednesday, July 16th at 10:00AM. The theme is "Bridging Employee Skill Gaps: A Leadership Imperative" and it will be hosted by Codey Gandy, who spent more than five years as a ground combat leader for various units in the U.S. Marine Corps. A link to the webinar will be emailed to Unit 612 members.

This will be the sixth of twelve training webinars tailored specifically for LASD and LADA lieutenants and sergeants as part of our partnership with Echelon Front, a widely-respected leadership development organization. The webinar on Wednesday was led by Sean Glass, a former U.S. Navy SEAL officer, combat leader, and current leadership instructor with Echelon Front.

The webinars and corresponding training books are byproducts of previous contract negotiations between PPOA and the County.

The PPOA Board of Directors has contracted with Integrated Labor Solutions to conduct future membership voting online. This decision is consistent with the PPOA bylaws and marks a significant step forward in ensuring a more efficient, secure, and timely voting process for all active and retired members. In order to cast a vote in PPOA elections, you must be registered online.

After you submit your registration info, please check your email to confirm within 20 minutes. Thank you for doing your part to help this Association move forward.
