Deputy Daniel V. Chavira
End of Watch: May 19, 2025
| |
We were deeply saddened to learn of the loss of Deputy Daniel Chavira in an off-duty traffic accident on May 19, 2025. The 21-year old deputy began his career with the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department on May 2, 2024 and was assigned to North County Correctional Facility at the time of his passing.
Deputy Chavira's family is deeply connected to the Sheriff's Department. He is survived by his father and at least four family members who are LASD deputies and detectives.
PPOA extends our heartfelt condolences to the Chavira family and we ask that you keep them in your prayers at this very difficult time.
