VOLUNTEER SPOTLIGHT - One SCORE
|
|
This month we were proud to hear of various collaborations with One SCORE stakeholders, volunteers, chapters, and organizations across the country working together towards SCORE's Mission and Vision. Below are a few highlight stories for your enjoyment. Check out the Recognition Hub to view all these and more!
District-Wide Engage Training & Implementation - District Director Paul Waldeck coordinated a District-wide deployment strategy for Engage, rather than a Chapter level rollout, resulting in learning efficiencies and increased effectiveness using SCORE's new system.
Co-Mentoring from Florida to Ohio - SCORE SW Florida Volunteer, Nancy Chorpenning, reaches out to SCORE Greater Cincinnatti, James Maltry, for collaboration helping a client that needed specific guidance coaching Executive Directors of non-profits!
SCORE Engaging with City & County Government - Donald Fukumoto, of SCORE Hawaii, shares SCORE resources with the City's new Office of Economic Revitalization (OER). "By having SCORE National webinars included in our "SCORE Hawaii" website (One SCORE concept), it made it easy for the City and County of Honolulu to extract National webinars and place them in their newsletter. This reached more local businesses to help foster and accomplish their goals as Entrepreneurs."

New menu and navigation updates have been made on www.score.org. These updates provide more information about who we are, what we do, how end-users can get involved. The updated menu also more prominently displays our major programs and initiatives. If your chapter has customized menu options, these settings will stay the same.
|
|
Chapters can now create recorded webinars on chapter sites. If your chapter is interested in hosting recorded webinars on your website, we recommend storing webinar recordings on YouTube as an unlisted video. You can do this by downloading your recording and transcript from Zoom and uploading it to your chapter's YouTube account, and marking it as "unlisted."
- If your chapter has a YouTube account, please add marketing@score.org as a Manager to ensure consistency in branding and help with access questions if there is volunteer turnover.
- If your chapter does not have a YouTube account, email marketing@score.org and we will create a channel for you.
|
|
All chapters currently have access to a free premium VolunteerMatch account funded through SCORE HQ, and will continue to provide all chapters with a premium VolunteerMatch account into FY22. With a premium account, chapters have access to the full suite of recruitment tools that basic accounts do not have. Such as:
-
The One-Click Reposting Tool – repost volunteer opportunities to keep them at the top of the search results.
-
Greeting Manager – automatically send a customized email to those who express interest in volunteering with your chapter.
-
Reports – pull reports to see how many views and connections an opportunity has received.
-
Copy Opportunities – copy opportunities to streamline the creation of new ones.
