PPP deadline approaching March 31
Businesses have until Wednesday, March 31 to apply for the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP), which is open for both first- and second-draw applicants. Funding is available for businesses that previously used PPP which have:

  • Fewer than 300 employees
  • Have exhausted previous loans
  • Experienced a 25% revenue loss in any quarter (compared to 2019)

Funding is also available to first-time borrowers that:

  • Have 500 or fewer employees
  • Are sole proprietors, independent contractors or eligible self-employed
  • Are nonprofit organizations
  • Are in accommodation and food service industries with fewer than 300 employees per location

Payroll, rent, covered mortgage interest and utilities expenses are eligible for forgiveness. First-time applicants can apply here, and returning applicants can apply here. Visit the Small Business Administration website for more information.

Congress passes American Rescue Plan Act
Congress recently passed the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021, a policy response to the challenges brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic. The bill is a combination of targeted funding and changes to policy and programming. The plan provides relief to some of the populations hit hardest by the pandemic while also piloting new policy initiatives that members of Congress may ultimately seek to make permanent in subsequent legislation. Winter Dining Grant now closed
The Village's Winter Dining Grant is now closed. Through the grant program, the Village was able to fund outdoor dining for eight restaurants in town.

Businesses that received grants included Cuzin’s, Frankie’s Ristorante, Gatto’s, Salina’s,
Side Street Tavern, SIP Wine Bar, Soundgrowler and Sweet Spot Sports Bar. Please stop in and support your fellow businesses!
