U.S. House of Representatives Passes Pro-Life "One Big Beautiful" Bill - Major Step Toward Defunding Abortion Industry
Baton Rouge - This afternoon, the U.S. House of Representatives passed the final version of the "One Big Beautiful" reconciliation bill, a bold and historic step toward ending taxpayer funding of abortion sellers like Planned Parenthood.
With President Trump's signature, the bill would eliminate hundreds of millions of dollars in federal funding from abortion providers.
Benjamin Clapper, Executive Director of Louisiana Right to Life, celebrated the vote:
“This is a huge win for life and families. We thank Speaker Mike Johnson and Majority Leader Steve Scalise for leading the charge and putting the values of Louisiana, and our nation, into action.
Taxpayer dollars should never fund the abortion industry. This bill ends the waste of nearly $800,000,000 of our hard-earned dollars that unjustly fund the nation's largest abortion provider, Planned Parenthood."
