2018 Fall Season Review
As we come to the end of 2018 and look forward to winter sports season, the Booster Club wanted to take a minute to review the successful fall sports season while also providing you with an Athletic Booster Club update.
Athletic Booster Review
The PRA Athletic Booster Club had another great year of learning and growing. Concessions continue to be the main revenue stream for the Booster Club while also providing an important service for the athletics department. We are thankful for all of your trips to the concession stand and for your volunteer time as well. The Booster Club relies heavily on help from our volunteers to support this effort and are still looking for volunteers for the upcoming basketball season to man the concession stands, organize inventory and assist with fine tuning our process. The Booster Club made an operational investment this year with the purchase of a new fridge to store concession drinks as well as providing a space for team snacks prior to their matches. This investment should help streamline much of our operations, who knew we would be so excited over a new fridge!

Please click here if you or your student is interested in helping by taking a shift and please email us at if you are interested in supporting concessions at the planning level.

Thank you also to everyone who purchased Rockies Tickets. Not only did that enable our baseball team to play a game at Rockies Stadium, it was a huge revenue generator for the Boosters and enabled us to give back to each sport program in the form of a $200 allotment to each team prior to their season.
In addition, the Booster Club decided to take a leap of faith and kicked off a holiday wreath sale this year and discovered it was a huge hit. We will definitely be continuing this, so remember us next year!

We are still in need of volunteers to take on leadership positions within the Booster Club, we are up and running and hope to expand our program, including more community events. Please email if you are interested in helping.

Thank you again for all of your support, and we would like to wish you and your family a fabulous holiday season from the entire PRA Athletic Booster Club.

Coach Storer indicated his team had one main goal this year and that was to create a new Miner football culture and community involving new traditions and standards. Coach Storer acknowledged they achieved these goals and now will continue to grow this program to be a success! Great job Miners Football!

T he following is a link of the football team's day at Fort Logan National Cemetery. Definitely worth the watch as the boys participated in the Honor Bell Ceremony and interacted with American veterans. Way to demonstrate excellent character Miners!

Coach Lexee Marshall shared that the HS girls Varsity Volleyball team ended another fantastic season in early November. The team finished with an overall record of 15-12 and a conference record of 9-3. The Miners also came away with the Region 11 Regional Title which automatically qualified them for State. This is the first team to qualify for State in the history of PRA.

PRA Volleyball also had some individual award winners which included all conference honors:
  • Honorable Mention: #11 Chloe Brown
  • 2nd Team : #3 Gabi Maiocco
  • 1st Team: #7 Lauryn Parker. Lauryn Parker also received an invitation to play in the Colorado All-State Games and was named 3A All State Honorable Mention!

´╗┐Coach Marshall also went on to say that the entire girls volleyball coaching staff would like to thank the staff of PRA and the entire PRA community for all of their support this season. We couldn't have been this successful without your consistent support. GOOOOOOOOOO MINERS!!

As a quick follow-up, the Athletic Booster Club provided the players with a meal on the eve of their Regional Match. The team, parents and coaches were very appreciative.
Coach Nathan Drake reported that the JV soccer team had a great season! "We finished with a winning record of 6-4. This includes wins over Academy, JA, Peak to Peak and Faith- the first for our soccer program. The future is bright for this young group of Miners!"

Coach Nathan went on to say the Varsity team finished with a record of 6-9. This team was extremely competitive in a league that produced not only 6 of the top 32 teams in 3A but the State Champions as well. We were honored to have Metro League All Conference Honorable Mention: Aiden Brasov (Sr), and Mickey Ungacta (So); Second Team All Conference: Michael Mote (Jr), and First Team All Conference: Bryson Cuss (Sr). Bryson was also named 3A All State Honorable Mention". Congrats to the boys soccer team on an exceptional season!
Coach Ari Finkelstein noted that the PRA Boys Tennis Team recently completed their 3rd season, and it was their strongest season yet! They won half their matches in their challenging 4A division, which is a huge improvement, especially considering that just two years ago the team was winless. Furthermore, Antoine Billat finished 3rd at Regionals in the #1 Singles spot (and was a runner-up qualifier for the State Championship), and their #1 Doubles team, Tanner Brown and Jake Stetson, placed 4th at Regionals. There were also five graduating seniors this year, who helped lead the team to many close matches and four team wins: Tanner Brown, Telis Demos, Khoa Le, Austin Leopold, and Nate Arbuckle. They will be missed next year as the team rebuilds with a new flight of Varsity players. Outstanding work PRA Tennis!

Coach Eric Hoos reported that Walker Franklin, Jason Arbuckle, Caden Koole, Nicholas Farel, Tennyson Young Blake Hassler played in all of the league tournaments. With all of the top players returning next year, the future is bright for the team.

PRA finish the season in 5th out of 11 conference teams. Walker Franklin-Honorable mention all conference, lowest scoring average for conference play, 1 tournament win, 4th place finish at the State tournament. Johnathan Ditlow won a JV tournament at Indian Tree Golf Course, while Bradley Quinn finished second. Walker Franklin and Blake Hassler won academic awards. Great job Miners Golf!
