PRAYER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 11/13/24
Luke 18:1-8 (KJV)
1 And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;
2 Saying, There was in a city a judge, which feared not God, neither regarded man:
3 And there was a widow in that city; and she came unto him, saying, Avenge me of mine adversary.
4 And he would not for a while: but afterward he said within himself, Though I fear not God, nor regard man;
5 Yet because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me.
6 And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge saith.
7 And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them?
8 I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?
As I struggled AGAIN to complete my daily walk/exercise, I P-R-A-Y-E-D!!!!!!!!!!!!
I PRAYED a PRAYER I have PRAYED for MANY MANY YEARS-not hours or days, weeks or months-BUT YEARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I PRAYED FOR MY SEVERELY DAMAGED DAUGHTER AMANDA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
As I wrote previously, little Amanda is not my ministry or the focus of my Christian walk, BUT she is my CROSS!!!!
I cannot even describe the pain she endures daily-HOURLY............................
And, I cannot even begin to imagine the pain YOU endure daily/hourly in whatever your CROSS is-WE ALL GOT OUR CROSSES TO BEAR!
But as I walked and PRAYED, I reminded God, (as if God needs my reminder) of His Own WORDS:

I WRITE TODAY SIMPLY TO REMIND YOU WHAT, in my humble opinion, what God deems the most essential thing we, as His followers, must and should do:
1 Thessalonians 5:17 (KJV)
17 Pray without ceasing.
I WRITE TODAY SIMPLY TO REMIND YOU that of all the things Jesus' disciples could have asked of our Lord and Savior, the thing most IMPORTANT is this:
Luke 11:1 (KJV)
1 And it came to pass, that, as he was praying in a certain place, when he ceased, one of his disciples said unto him, Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples.
“LORD, TEACH US TO PRAY....................................................”
They had LIVED with Jesus-24/7/365 and they had OBSERVED His sinless life and the RESULTS of his OFT PRAYING.
They had SEEN Jesus separate Himself from themselves and everything else in His OFTEN all night PRAYER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They SAW the RESULTS of Jesus PRAYERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Matthew 26:36-41 (KJV)
36 Then cometh Jesus with them unto a place called Gethsemane, and saith unto the disciples, Sit ye here, while I go and pray yonder.
37 And he took with him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, and began to be sorrowful and very heavy.
38 Then saith he unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful, even unto death: tarry ye here, and watch with me.
39 And he went a little further, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt.
40 And he cometh unto the disciples, and findeth them asleep, and saith unto Peter, What, could ye not watch with me one hour?
41 Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.
In Jesus' final hours, all He asked for was PRAYER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Matthew 26:40-41 (KJV)
40 And he cometh unto the disciples, and findeth them asleep, and saith unto Peter, What, could ye not watch with me one hour?
41 Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.
The very LAST thing satan wants us to do is “LEARN TO PRAY!!!”
satan is not afraid of our softball teams or our pot luck suppers!! satan even fears not our oft gatherings or political stance!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
YOU do NOT have to go to Church to PRAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
YOU CAN PRAY ANYWHERE/ANYTIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
AND, it matters not how many times WE PRAY the same PRAYER-please read Luke 18 AGAIN-SLOWLY and carefully!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Again, as I walked and PRAYED again THE SAME PRAYER I have been PRAYING for almost 23 YEARS now....................
I/WE cannot CEASE PRAYING.
PERIOD! I just shake my head in wonderment as I close this message!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
