Park Ridge Board of Education Meeting

Armed School Security Officers
At their regular monthly meeting on Monday, November 21st, the Park Ridge BOE is requesting public comment regarding the possible installation of armed School Security Officers (SSO's) at EB, WR and PRHS. The meeting is being held at 7 PM in the HS Little Theater.
A majority of SSO's are retired police officers who are still licensed to carry a firearm. The Board would like to hear from school community members about the possibility of hiring an SSO to serve at each building in the district during the school day.
Please feel free to attend the meeting on November 21st. The BOE looks forward to hearing from the community about this school security initiative.
