"Abortion is my only option!"

Overwhelmed with stress, *Betty* arrived at the PRC seeking information about her pregnancy. Betty tearfully expressed her desire to abort her baby. Feeling incapable of caring for another child and financially unprepared, she was certain that abortion was her only option. And the only other person she felt comfortable enough to turn to had recommended she get an abortion.

The PRC consultant discussed all of the options with Betty, and the support available to her.

Then the consultant asked Betty what she valued most in life. Betty said it was her relationship with God. This prompting opened the door to a deeper conversation.

When the nurse performed the ultrasound exam, Betty was shocked to discover an active, healthy 14-week old baby. This new revelation left Betty dismayed and unsure what to do. She left the PRC undecided. We prayed.

One day later, Betty texted her PRC nurse and informed her she had decided to keep the baby. In one day and one ultrasound, Betty's determination to abort had changed.

The PRC nurse and consultant are working together to craft an individual support plan for Betty and to get her connected to all the support she needs. Please pray for Betty, her child and her growing family.

Thank you for your generous support, allowing the PRC to connect with and serve patients like Betty. Together, we are cultivating a culture of life in our communities!

July 2024 Impact

From the PRC Directors

This summer has been incredibly exciting at the PRC!

As you may have heard, the recent Utah Supreme Court ruling leaves in place, for now, the injunction on Utah's law banning elective abortions. Unfortunately, this means that elective abortions up to 18 weeks are still allowed until the courts can decide whether the law itself is constitutional. You can read more about this in the "Stay Informed" section below. Meanwhile, please continue to pray for our judges and justices.

On a brighter note, the Utah Legislature has recognized the PRC’s important community impact and the free services it provides to an underserved population of abortion-vulnerable women. We are pleased to report that the PRC has received approval for a State Appropriation of $200,000.

What a blessing to be in a life-affirming State!

We thank the Lord for these timely funds, which will allow us to expand the medical services the PRC provides, as we are seeing a 40% increase in abortion-minded women at both locations.

The PRC is now in preparation mode to renovate the Salt Lake Clinic so along with the expanded medical services we can provide more classrooms for additional parenting classes, fatherhood mentoring and post-abortion care.

In addition, the PRC has received a generous gift of $10,000 toward our mortgage retirement campaign, which has been matched.

What a testament to the Lord's timely provision and your faithful partnership as we reach even more abortion-determined women and their families.

American Fork Steel Days

The PRC was privileged to engage with the community at the American Fork Steel Days Festival. We had meaningful conversations and even had volunteer interest! Please pray that more abortion-vulnerable women will find their way to our doors.

Worship 24

The PRC will be exhibiting at Worship '24 at the Utah State Capitol, presented by our friends at Standing Together. We encourage to attend this family fun event gathering several local worship bands for an uplifting evening of joy.

• Pray that more abortion-vulnerable women will come to the PRC!
• Pray women like Betty, who have chosen life for their unborn babies - may nothing stand in their way of embracing parenthood.
• Pray for those who may be suffering in secret over past abortions. Pray that they can find the PRC and our post-abortion program.
• Pray that more young moms and (especially) dads will attend the LifeSteps Parenting classes.
• Pray for our judges and Justices, who will continue to deliberate the constitutionality of Utah's abortion law.
