TEXT BANK TO REGISTER PA WOMEN AS DEMOCRATS
Please join Field Team 6 on Thursday, April 28 – Friday, April 29 – Saturday, April 30 – and Sunday, May 1, from 1-4p ET each day, as we text eligible female voters (who are likely Democrats) in Pennsylvania!

Thanks to two incredible donors, and now the help of our wonderful partners at Turn PA Blue as well, we are able to hold this super fast text bank using the Spoke Rewired platform. Our must-reach goal is texting 200K+ Pennsylvanian women before the 5/2 voter registration deadline for the 5/17 primary!

You'll be reaching out to get women registered as Democrats, or signed up to vote from home (vote by mail). Women tend to vote more than men, and tend to register as Democrats at higher rates too. Sign up HERE soon, before we text the entire list!

BYOP TEXTING BOOTCAMP!
Get ready to BYOP – Bring Your Own Phone (*plan)! We're bootcamping this very afternoon… Thursday, April 28 at 4p PT. We’ll train you how to text from your computer, using your data plan (or a free Google Voice number). Once trained, you can do this on your own time, whenever you like!

We'll be texting and registering new Democrats in all 9 swing states (!!) — AZ, CA, FL, GA, NC, NV, PA, TX, and WI. Let's get Democrats elected up and down the ballot!

We've upgraded the tech with some sassy Chrome extensions that turn this into a two-click operation! If you have an ActionID, Chrome browser, and software to text from your computer (see Two New BYOP How To videos below), you're ready. RSVP HERE!
TUESDAY, MAY 3 AND WEDNESDAY, MAY 4:
SOCIAL MEDIA STORMS
The sea was angry that day, my friends. Righteously angry! The original blue squall has built into a spinning supercell of Democratic activism... and it's not going away!

Last week we split our Social Storms into two sessions and we didn't skip a beat. In fact, we hit over 51 million impressions on Twitter alone, generating over 10,000 tweets and nearly 71,000 likes & retweets. That marks an amazing 12 weeks in a row with over 50 million impressions! Stormy!!!

For those who missed last week's announcement: to help even more people get involved (and because you asked for it) we split our Social Storms into a session for those who are old hands at the social storming game and another for those new to the scene. You all seemed to like it, so we're keeping it up. Here's what's on tap this week:

In both storms, we'll jump onto the web to raise awareness for Field Team 6's efforts to #RegisterDemocrats (and save the world!) and recruit volunteers for our ongoing in-person voter drive trainings, phonebanks, textbanks and postcarding programs. These storms are making a difference, and will help form the basis of a blue tsunami this fall.

VOLUNTEER SHOUT-OUT: TOM CREHAN
This week, the Field Team 6 Weekly writing team is thrilled to announce that the Train of Gratitude is picking up a very special passenger, Tom Crehan, who spearheads the creative wordsmithing of the wonderful newsletter you are now reading!

As a young lad, Tom had grand plans to travel the world with the U.S. Navy, but a back injury led to a medical discharge. So Tom moved to Hollywood to pursue his storytelling dreams. In LA, he connected with Dale Roy Robinson, FT6 COO, who hired him as a screenwriter and later offered him a chance to work on this newsletter. 

Working for FT6 has allowed Tom to connect with his family's past while fighting for a better future. His grandparents were Irish immigrants who faced hardships and discrimination in Ireland and here in America. But Tom says they never closed the door behind them, believing this country should welcome all immigrants.

"These family histories left an indelible mark on me. I’ve always been outraged by injustice under the cover of authority. Pretty much the last administration in a nutshell. That QMaga vision for America represents bigotry, lies and hate—not the things I was raised to believe in. Not the things America should stand for."

Tom also helps with special projects that need a creative touch. He's most proud of writing some of our commercials, like the Big Pharma spoof ad to promote Voterizer: “...these are just some of the symptoms of CCD—Chronic Constitutional Depression."

But he thinks the real hard work is being done by the volunteers who are out there registering Democrats. "I try hard to communicate the passion that every Field Team 6’er brings to the Resistance, and the critical importance of the work we do in helping to stem the authoritarian, racist, nationalist tide. And when I can get away with it, I try to inject some humor. With the anger and lunacy we’re fighting against, we all need to keep our sense of humor. Love and laughs, it’s how we’ll win!"

Tom, we are grateful and thrilled to be working by your side. Your boundless energy, infectious humor, can-do spirit, and endless creativity fuel the writing of this newsletter, through thick and thin. 

As Tom says, "if anything in this newsletter makes you smile and send out one more tweet or postcard or hand out one more voter registration form, then job done!"

One of Field Team 6's coolest tools is our Voter Drive in a Box – the digital version of everything you need to hold your own voter drive in a swing state: training videos, manuals, cheat sheets, etc.

Now we're introducing the physical version. Our Voter Drive in a Box Box is not just metaphorical... it’s an actual box filled with everything a first-time drive leader needs to host their own voter drive: clipboards, pens, forms, stickers, and more – for up to 8 volunteers!

To achieve our goal of mailing one of these state-specific goodie boxes—for free!—to every volunteer who signs up to lead their first voter drive, we're looking for people to Adopt-a-Box. It'll cost us about $60 to buy, stock and ship each box, but we think the dividends it will pay in the voter registration ground game will be priceless. Won't you adopt a box today?
