LIBRARY MEETING!

The county has set up a meeting to bring us up to speed on the East Garrison Library!

Come hear all about it - I'm told there will be sketches. Just the idea of having an actual library building in EG makes this reporter smile. Can't wait to hear more.

Are you coming to the library meeting?

Dark Skies in EG?

It's fun to gaze at the stars from our East Garrison yards (fog permitting). Thanks to the Carmel Valley Association newsletter, HERE is a website that shows how much light pollution there is - or isn't - in our part of the world, or anywhere!

Artists and Craftspeople Survey Results

Thanks to the 28 creatives who answered the survey. We have musicians, Pilates and Latin dance teachers, yoga instructors, ceramic artists, photographers, bakers - the list goes on! As you can see there's lots of interest in a performance/rehearsal space, a community event or classroom space, and shared studio or maker spaces.

These are the teachers and leaders of the EG art scene. Now the rest of us can start thinking about what we - as learners and participants - would like to do. Keep an eye out for a survey about what kinds of classes you'd like to take!

Ways to Stay Involved

  • East Garrison Kiwanis is active in our community. They are in charge of "Adopt a Road" on Intergarrison, Monday Trivia and other activities. Go to Kiwanis of East Garrison for more information. They also have a Community Priorities SURVEY and would love your input
