COUNCIL MEMBER YDANIS RODRIGUEZ will join SMALL BUSINESS owners, ADVOCATES & ELECTED OFFICIALS who support the small business jobs survival act
 
The Small Business Jobs Survival Act (SBJSA) will alleviate the stress on small businesses to relocate their storefronts, establish fair and due process in negotiating lease agreements. 
 
New York, NY--  Tomorrow, Wednesday, October 17, Council Member Ydanis Rodriguez will be joined by his Council colleagues and small business owners from throughout the City to rally ahead of the Committee on Small Business hearing on Monday, October 22. At the hearing, the Committee will hear testimony from small business owners, elected officials, community organizations, and small business experts, pertaining to Intro. 0737, the Small Business Jobs Survival Act, to address the citywide crisis of Mom & Pop shops shutting down due to a lack of oversight and transparency with commercial leases. 

Council Member Rodriguez will discuss the framework of the bill and highlight the need to end the commercial blight and storefront vacancies that afflict neighborhoods throughout the City.
