will hold a press conference with Elected Officials, and Community Leaders to call on the City and the community to take specific steps in response to the gang violence that is affecting all communities in NYC, and to call for justice for well-known Merengue singer Javier Gutierrez, also known as "Mala Fe"
Javier Gutierrez, also known as "Mala Fe", was viciously attacked with Machetes "large knifes" by a group of teenagers on Saturday night while he was in his car to meet with his musicians
. One of the gang member broke the singer's car back window and when he got out to see the damage, more young gang members came and savagely attacked the singer.
The impact of violence is costly and our families can't live in fear. The City and all communities must come together to reduce this senseless violence and do more for our teenagers to prevent them to join those cruel gangs.

Nueva York, NY - HOY Lunes, 9 de Abril a la 1:30PM. El Concejal Ydanis Rodríguez realizará una conferencia de prensa con Funcionarios Electos y Líderes de la Comunidad para pedirle a la Ciudad y a la comunidad que tomen medidas específicas en respuesta a la violencia de pandillas que está afectando a todas las comunidades en Nueva York, y para pedir justicia para el conocido cantante de merengue Javier Gutiérrez, también conocido como "Mala Fe" .
Javier Gutiérrez, también conocido como "Mala Fe", fue atacado brutalmente con machetes por un grupo de jovenes padilleros el pasado sábado por la noche mientras estaba en su automóvil para encontrarse con sus músicos. Uno de los miembros de la pandilla rompió la ventanilla trasera del auto del cantante y cuando salió para ver el daño, vinieron más miembros jóvenes de la pandilla y atacaron salvajemente al cantante.
El impacto de la violencia es costoso y nuestras familias no pueden vivir con miedo. La Ciudad y todas las comunidades deben unirse para reducir esta violencia sin sentido y hacer más por nuestros jovenes para evitar que se unan a esas pandillas crueles.
