FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
South Bend, Indiana--Sunday, November 1,2020 – C2 Your Health Women’s Initiative, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization is hosting the 3rd Annual Women’s Entrepreneur Summit, Round Tables for Success to address the essential needs of women entrepreneurs to share resources, funding sources, relationship building, networking, inspiration and more! This ground-breaking event will be held on International Women’s Entrepreneurship Day, November 19th.
This year due to Covid-19, the Women’s Entrepreneur Summit is going online, from
9 am - 4 pm. Mayor James Mueller of South Bend, IN, will be opening the summit with the welcome to women entrepreneurs.
"Our goal is to build solid relationships/partnerships. It is about women entrepreneurial success. This conference has been designed to target women entrepreneurs in northern Indiana and southern Michigan. Women entrepreneurs are coming together from our region to create a grassroots movement by and for women entrepreneurs. It’s extremely exciting.” Cindy Cohen says, the Founder and President of C2 Your Health Women’s Initiative.
The 2012 U.S. Census statistics reported in St. Joseph County, Indiana women owned business were only 2%, when in Indiana reported 37% and the U.S. 39%. So Cindy Cohen, Founder & President of C2 Your Health Women’s Initiative began planning a women’s entrepreneur conference event with community women entrepreneurs; and at that time there was nothing available for women entrepreneurs to become inspired, motivated, needed support and mentoring; just for women entrepreneurs to fuel their desire to succeed, despite their many challenges.
During our first year the Women’s Entrepreneur Summit sparked a movement by providing inspirational and motivational speakers to include resource speakers and women entrepreneurs themselves, to speak on relevant topics. Since our first year, in 2018, we have had over 65 speakers, including this year, and connected with over 600 women entrepreneurs in the community.
“Women entrepreneurs are flourishing, yet there is a long road ahead. Our outcomes include mentoring programs, networking groups, nonprofit organizations, and several community events promoting women entrepreneur businesses. The purpose of the summit is to inspire/motivate, provide resources, and to develop and implement action plans to start and grow their businesses.” says Vida Harley, Women’s Entrepreneur Summit, Event Assistant, Women Entrepreneur Matters, Founder and Success Unlimited owner.
