A slate of five nominees has been selected to fulfill 5 seats with expiring terms on the Chincoteague Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, which consists of eleven members from various industry sectors. Current chamber board members Chris Bott, Jimmy Vasiliou, and Elaine Stitcher have expressed a desire to remain on the board for another three-year term. Rebecca Hudson and Kate Moot have been nominated to replace Benjy Holloway and Ernest Dale Holston who will be leaving the board. Mr. Holloway has served since 2015 (President since 2018) and Mr. Holston since 2006. The chamber thanks them for their service to the community over those years.

Our guest speaker will be Bryan Rush, Director of Emergency Services & Emergency Management Coordinator for the Town of Chincoteague. Mr. Rush will update the audience on the status of the Coronavirus and the Town’s response. He will also introduce a series of Business Resiliency workshops hosted by the Chamber slated to begin in March designed to help area businesses develop or update business resiliency plans with information gained over the past year in order to be more prepared for the next occurrence that could disrupt current business models.

Mr. Matthew Clay, CEO of Eastern Shore Rural Health System, Inc. and Mr. John Peterman, President of Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital will discuss the COVID19 vaccine, local agency availability and the process for implementation. This will be a great opportunity to have questions answered by the professionals.
